03.12.08 Update:
Pete attended the Rock 'n' Roll Hall of Fame and sat with John Fogerty, actress Laura Dern, Lou Reed and Ben Harper. Harmoica great Little Walter was inducted by Pete's old friend James Cotton who, with Muddy Waters, used to stay at Pete's former place in Cambridge, MA.
Pete was asked to perform with Levon Helm's Midnight Ramble. But, unfortunately, due to Pete's schedule, he was unable to participate.
02.17.08 Update:
Pete has taken a short hiatus on the Kid Rock Revival Tour so he can add the final touches on his latest CD. He will be rejoining the tour in Nashville - that is going to prove to be an all out rocking "house party!"

02.01.08 Update:
Before playing Detroit, Kid Rock, Rev. Run and Wolf attended a Pistons/Laker game. Once the TV crew realized Pete was in the audience they kept cutting back to him throughout the game. When Pete was interviewed, he was given a standing ovation by the sold out crowd at the Palace Arena.

This summer, Pete began recording his latest CD at Sear Sound Studios in New York with Kenny White and many of the same musicians that helped create his critically acclaimed cd "Sleepless" and "Fools Parade". This latest CD should be released this spring and features some very special guests.

Pete Performs again with Springsteen
During his May 27th "Seeger Sessions" show at Boston's Tweeter Center, Bruce Springsteen called Pete to join him on stage for the song "Buffalo Gals". Needless to say, a good time was had by all!
Pete Performs at the Rock N' Roll Hall of Fame Tribute Concert
Pete performed several Sam Cooke songs for the Rock N Roll Hall of Fame Tribute Concert in honor of Sam Cooke on November 5, 2006 at the State Theater, Playhouse Square in Cleveland Ohio. Also performing that evening were: Aretha Franklin, Elvis Costello, The Dixie Hummingbirds, The Blind Boys of Alabama, Cissy Houston, Taj Mahal, Otis Clay and William Bell.
Bono dedicated the song "Beautiful Day" to Pete
Bono dedicated the song when U2 performed in Boston at the TD BankNorth Center during their last tour.
The J. Geils Band reunites and plays together
At a Cambridge hotel, where there was a birthday party for D.K., the bass player for the band, the entire J. Geils Band showed up. They ended up doing five numbers together: Floyds Hotel, Peachtree Street, Pack Fair and Square, Give It to Me and Looking for a Love.
Bob Dylan's Radio Show
Peter recently dropped in for Bob Dylan's Radio show, which should be coming up in the near future. They talked about the Sam Cooke tribute Peter did with Aretha and Elvis Costello in Cleveland.
Joshua Tree Benefit
It gives Peter great pleasure to play benefits. He recently played the Joshua Tree benefit in Boston at the Grand Ballroom of the Boston Harbor Hotel.

Memorial Hall on November 1st and two dates at the Sitting Bull Blues Club which is a great intimate listening room.
Bostons Fenway Park Bruce Springsteen Show
Bruce Springsteen was the first rock and roll artist to play Boston's Fenway
Park. Bruce played two nights and invited Peter to join him on stage both

Martin Scorseses The Blues Book
Peter was asked to participate and write a chapter in the Martin Scorsese's
The Blues Book. Peter wrote an interesting and moving piece called Muddy, Wolf, and Me..Adventures in the Blues Trade about his friendship with Muddy
Waters. The book is a companion piece to the PBS series. The book is an anthology of the blues edited by Peter Guralnick-it's one of the best books on the blues that's been published in a while. A must for any serious music fan. The book is available on Amistad Press.
According to the Rolling Stones
Peter was also asked to contribute a chapter introduction to the new book
written by the Rolling Stones called According to the Rolling Stones on
Weidenfeld and Nicolson Press. It's the inside story of the Stones told by Mick,
Keith, Charlie, and Woody. It's filled with vivid recollections and great visuals
as well as words. Pete's intro is a rare look at his long time friendship
with the Stones.

Peter and Bruce Springsteen
On October 4th, Peter joined Bruce Springsteen on stage
