Rolling Stone's Best Albums of 2010 lists Peter Wolf's Midnight Souvenirs. From RollingStone: "The first album in eight years from the J. Geils Band singer proves nothing can kill Wolf's charm, musicality and youthfulness. Wolf is the passionate impresario of his own musical world, sharing his love of classic country, soul and R&B with anyone who cares to listen. His enthusiasm is contagious on a series of duets: "The Green Fields of Summer" is a striking acoustic song where Wolf and Neko Case exude stark, autumnal beauty, and "It's Too Late for Me," is a lighthearted country lullaby about growing old that could have been written in 1955, with Wolf and Merle Haggard sounding like old running buddies quietly congratulating themselves for outracing the sunrise yet again."

12.21.09 Update:
Peter Performed with the Portland Symphony Orchestra, narrating Stravinksy's "The Soldier's Story" in November 2009, receiving rave reviews from the Portland Press.

In the same month, Peter attended The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame at Madison Square Garden, joining Bruce Springsteen, Darlene Love, Jackson Brown, Sam Moore and many others for an encore version of Jackie Wilson's "Higher and Higher."

And from the December 10, 2009 Rolling Stone featuring Tom Petty:

In your opening-act days, who were the headliners that taught you stage Presence?
The ones I studied were Ray Davies of the Kinks and Peter Wolf of the J. Geils Band. Ray was a brilliant entertainer. Every night, I would go out and watch him. He knew how to pace the show - when to speak, when to let the music talk. He knew how to work the set so when he was going to do his big ballad, it was going to count, and there wasn't going to be a dry eye in the place. And he used to do this amazing thing with "Lola" - he'd keep teasing the audience with the [opening] lick. He'd start the intro and then go, "Ah, you're not ready yet." So finally when you got, "Da, da, da-da-da-da..." [hums the guitar intro], it was like "Hallelujah!"
Peter Wolf was a master at working the crowd. He knew how to get the place really rockin'. I learned a great deal watching him - but not many others [laughs]. I was also on shows with a lot of people that I thought weren't too good: "I don't get this."

07.11.09 Update:
